Winter was one of the sixty original members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. A three-time All-Star and twice a member of the Champion Team, she also posted several records over her eight-year career in the league. Winter is also one of seven pitchers with 100 or more wins in AAGPBL history, ranking in third place with 133 victories behind Helen Nicol (163) and Jean Faut (140).〔(Baseball-Reference.com – AAGPBL records )〕 Following her baseball career, she excelled as a master teacher of golf for 30 years.
